Salon Protocols for Re-Opening after COVID-19; We can’t wait to see you!

When we receive a concrete date to open and feel that it is safe to do so (hopefully sooner than later!), 

We will first work through our list of clients who were canceled in March, April and May due to our temporary closing; as well as our guests with standing appointments. We will send out an email or text message to our previous clients letting them know our books are open. Please bare with us as we contact each client. We will accept new clients as well. So, if you are not yet a client but would like to be one, please send us an email and we will get you booked as well as soon as we have an opening date. (shesalonrocny@gmail.com)

Thank you all SO much for your patience. We are so ready to be back! We want to start by thanking you for supporting S.H.E. Salon & Academy through this.

We do have our policies and procedures updated for you all!

It is extremely important to us to protect both our clients and artists when we reopen. Here is the new meticulous reopening safety plan that will be taking place.

As we’re sure you can imagine, we have had to increase the cost of our services for ourselves due to the extra costs in PPE, higher priced cleaning supplies, and increasing our service times to allow for more cleaning. Therefore all prices will be set in stone. Also, time constraints will be strictly followed. We unfortunately are not able to offer discounts to friends, family or long term guests at this time. We apologize as it breaks not only your heart, but also ours. Thank you for your understanding!

We will only be opening our books for lash extensions, waxing and hair services at this time. Microblading and permanent makeup services will be kept on hold until further notice. If you have already put down a deposit or have had a missed appointment you will be contacted immediately the second we go ahead with opening our books for these services. Your patience is SO appreciated! 

If you are a student and have put down a deposit for a class, we hope to resume with teaching soon! We are currently working on a digital system to get our classes up and running as soon as possible and we will be contacting you as soon as we have a plan in place! Thank you for your patience.

Upon booking we will need to ask to keep your credit card on file. This will make for less touching when cashing out! We will be charging no-shows 100% of their service and late cancels (24 hours) 50% of their service. Your appointment will be marked as a no show and charged if we cannot reach you within 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment.

Salon volume will be kept at a minimum, with stylists working at every other station at least six feet apart. 

Guests are not allowed to bring any other guests, friends, family members, children or pets into the salon. If you arrive with your child you will be charged as a no show and asked to reschedule. 

Before entry, clients will wait outside and have temperatures checked, and take part in a short health questionnaire. 

Once inside, all stylists will be wearing masks, while clients are required to wear masks as well. We ask that all clients bring their own mask. If you do not have one, a disposable one will be available for you for $5. 

Belongings must be limited to a phone and form of payment.

A sanitation station has been created in the salon where you will be able to see us effectively and meticulously disinfecting all of our implements. 

Every bed will be undressed and layed with table paper during all appointments. Followed up with a full disinfection after each guest. 

Every pillow will be covered with a disposable cover. The pillow will be sprayed with disinfectant after each appointment. All guests will have the option of wearing a hair net during their service. The hairnet will be provided. No blankets will be used during guest services. 

The guest will be required to wear a mask during their appointment. As much as we want to catch up and talk with our clients, we need to reduce the amount of droplets in the air. Therefore, we will not be talking during lash appointments. You are welcome to bring headphones! The consultations and aftercare talks will be done before and after you lay down on the lash bed. If you are a new guest, most of the information you will need pre and post appointment will be disclosed before you arrive via email!

The lash technicians will be required to wear a mask and gloves during the service. The technician will be required to wash their hands in between each service. 

During appointments an individual lash tile will be created for you and tossed after each appointment.

All stations will be set up as in a medical office. Every station, product and implement will be disinfected in between each guest. 

Appointment times will be increased to have extra time for artistry AND sanitizing after your appointment. Please be on time, or it will cut into the amount of lashes we can place.

We will not have any clients wait in the lobby for their appointments. We ask that you stay inside of your cars until we call you. Once the previous client has left the building and everything has been sanitized, we will begin your appointment. Please make sure you are on time to your appointment.

Lysol spray and hand sanitizer will be available as soon as you enter and exit the salon. The doors will be wiped down with disinfectant each time it is opened.

We will require a contactless checkout process. When booking your appointment, we will make sure that your card on file is the one you’d like to use to pay for your service. We will not make change for cash payment so we ask that you come prepared with the exact amount. The same goes for cash gratuities. Checks will be accepted. We ask that cash and checks be placed in a envelope that we will have prepared at the reception desk. Venmo will no longer be used at all as a form of payment. 

We will place a piece of tape away from the reception desk for clients to stand to prebook their next appointments. You may also text or email us after your appointment is over to book the following one! Online booking will also be an available option.

As licensed professionals, we are trained in preventing the spread of infectious diseases as required by the state of New York. We have all been certified in infection control and prevention by Barbicide (products specifically designed to clean and disinfect salons). Our certifications will be posted on the wall of our classroom for you to see.  

Safety is our number one priority! 

Our hearts are with everyone affected. We are eager to see our community make a come back from this, and we can't wait to open our doors to all of you again soon!
