Whether you're looking for a natural enhancement or a more dramatic lash look, your preparation and aftercare play an important role in achieving beautiful results and maintaining the health of your natural lashes.

Note: If your eyes or surrounding skin are not in suitable condition for the service, your appointment may need to be postponed.
Beautiful lashes require beautiful care.
-Clean your lashes regularly. Your extensions and natural lashes need to be kept clean. Use a lash extension safe cleanser daily to remove makeup, oils, skin cells and everyday buildup.
-Brush gently. Once your lashes are clean and dry, gently brush through them with a clean spool. Brush from the base toward the tips without pulling or tugging.
-Avoid picking, twisting, pulling or excessively touching your lashes. Your extensions are attached to your natural lashes so touching or pulling at them with the fingers can lead to tangling, stress and premature shedding. If you want your extensions removed please schedule a professional removal rather than attempting to remove them yourself. Protecting the integrity of your natural lashes is always my goal.
UV-cured extensions follow the same fundamental lash-care principles as traditional extensions.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
The preparation is the same:
Clean + completely makeup-free lashes are essential.
Please follow all of the preparation instructions above.
AFTERCARE
Although the adhesive is cured during the service, proper lash hygiene and aftercare are still essential.
✨ TRADITIONAL VS. UV-CURED ADHESIVE
Both techniques are professional lash-extension application methods.
Traditional adhesive:
Cures through the adhesive’s chemical curing process during application.
UV-cured adhesive:
Uses a light-curing system to cure the adhesive during the application process.
Neither method eliminates the need for proper aftercare, and lash retention varies from person to person.
As your lash artist I can help determine which application method is appropriate for your service and individual needs.
The best lash results come from professional application + consistent maintenance + proper home care.
Treat your extensions gently, keep them clean, and follow your recommended maintenance schedule.

Are your customers raving about you on -You have experienced a reaction to a previous lift or tint
-You have sensitive or irritated eyes
-You have redness, swelling or an active eye infection
-You recently had an eye procedure
-You recently had another chemical treatment to the lashes or the skin around the eyes
Your lashes have just undergone a chemical reshaping service, so proper aftercare helps protect your results.
For the initial period following your appointment:
-Avoid water, steam and eye makeup for 48-72 hours
-Avoid rubbing, pulling or excessively touching your lashes
-Avoid using a lash curler
-Avoid applying heavy or oily products directly to the lashes
-Be gentle when cleansing your eye area
-Do not attempt to perform another lash lift at home
Your lift will gradually soften as your natural lash cycle continues.
Please arrive with clean brows and minimal product on the brow area.
Before your appointment, avoid unnecessary irritation or aggressive exfoliation around the brows.
If the skin around your brows is irritated, compromised or unusually sensitive, your appointment may need to be postponed.
Your brows have just been chemically reshaped, so be gentle with them while they settle.
Avoid water and moisture during the initial period (49-72 hours) after your service.
Also:
Both lash lifts and brow laminations are temporary enhancements. Your results will gradually soften as your natural hair grows through its normal cycle.
Never try to speed up the process by performing another chemical treatment at home.
Every client and every set of lashes/brows is different. If you’re unsure about something during your aftercare, please reach out to S.H.E. Salon before making changes to your routine. 🤍
Starts with proper preparation. Whether you’re booking a brow wax, facial waxing, or body waxing, following these guidelines can help create a more comfortable experience and support healthy-looking skin afterward.
Let your hair grow, allow enough growth before your appointment.
Avoid shaving immediately before your wax. I can always let you know if the hair needs additional time to grow.
Please arrive with the area being waxed:
Avoid applying heavy products immediately before your appointment.
It’s important that I know about anything that could affect the condition of your skin.
Please do not stop prescribed medications without speaking with your healthcare provider.
Waxing should not be performed over skin that is significantly irritated, sunburned, broken or otherwise compromised.
BROW-SPECIFIC TIP
Your skin may be slightly pink immediately after a brow wax. This typically settles with time.
Avoid repeatedly touching or rubbing the area while it is sensitive.
If possible, avoid intense workouts immediately following waxing, particularly when waxing areas that experience sweating.
We never want to create unnecessary rubbing against freshly waxed skin.
Avoid applying irritating products, heavy fragrances or strong exfoliants to freshly waxed skin.
Use gentle, soothing products
Freshly waxed skin can be more sensitive.
Minimize direct sun exposure and follow appropriate sun-protection practices.
Avoid tanning immediately following your service.
Once the skin has recovered from your wax, gentle exfoliation can help remove dead skin cells and support smoother hair regrowth.
Your esthetician, me, can recommend products and a routine appropriate for your skin and the area being waxed.
Do not aggressively scrub freshly waxed skin.
Every person’s skin responds differently to waxing. If your skin is unusually irritated or you have concerns about your reaction following your appointment, reach out to S.H.E. Salon.
For a severe or concerning reaction, seek appropriate medical attention.
Your smooth skin is an investment—let’s take care of it.
